We provide a maintenance access service to Power stations,Chemical plants & Steelworks as well as our day to day
work in the construction industry.

Welcome to Mac Scaffolding MAC scaffolding established in 1986. Originally started in the building and civil sector before expanding into the specialist and heavy industry sectors, working on various contracts in Steelwork, Petrochemicals, Utilities and Process Sectors.

Effective Health and Welfare management is our prime objective; we achieve this through effective planning, supervision and training to ensure our clients are provided with a scaffold service that complies with all current regulations and British standards.

The effect of combining the above key factors had paid handsome dividends as we have five years in succession received the ROSPA President's Award for occupational Health & Safety, a benchmark has now been set.

In such a safety critical industry, an ongoing commitment to training is vitally important. As well as operatives attending CITB scaffolding courses we have undertaken specialist training. In the last year courses on safe use of harnesses, confined spaces, workings in high voltage substations and asbestos awareness have been successfully undertaken by the majority of the workforce.

Our company Health & Safety Officer, as well as having qualifications in health and safety has over 20 years experience in the scaffolding industry. He also regularly assists client's staff by conducting training seminars in scaffold awareness and also lectures on the NEBOSH construction certificate at a local collage.

This experience enables him to advise clients, our own management and site operatives on effective systems of work while working at height. Carry out in-house inductions covering a variety of subjects specific to our workforce needs.

Asbestos Specialists In today's environment regarding the high level of awareness of asbestos, our company has successfully been awarded an asbestos license by the health and safety executive asbestos department, following detailed interviews and records of all training by our management and workforce.
The license has been issued for a period of 3 years and allows us to erect scaffolding associated with asbestos removal in line with regulation 4 of the asbestos (licensing) regulations 1983.
